Programs and Groups
HILL Program provides access to a variety of groups, which promote personal growth and aid in the rehabilitation process.
Recreation Group
A different recreational activity is planned for each week.
This group is under the direction of HILL Program’s Occupational Therapist.
Sports activities include soccer, floor hockey, softball, flag football,
basketball, billiards, and bowling.
Sports and activities are modified to ensure the
safety and participation of all clients according to their abilities.
Participants are also always welcome to suggest different
activities and assist with the planning.
Current and former clients of HILL Program are eligible to participate.
While the focus of this group is to explore different leisure activities in the community an important element of this group centres on social skills and having fun.
Young Adult Social Group
Clients gather to socialize and to discuss issues relevant to life after sustaining an ABI.
This group is open to current and former young adult clients.
This group takes place on Monday nights and is facilitated by a
Clinical Manager.
Pizza and soft drinks are provided.

Expressive Art Group
Different Mediums and Activities offered to use Art as an Expressive
Tool for exploring self and self in relation to others and the world.
Member driven group with cornerstones being trust, sharing and confidentiality.
The group is ongoing with open membership to all HILL clients.
Facilitated by a HILL Program Lifeskills Coach.

Special Outings
HILL Program plans a variety of special events throughout the year. Outings have included Canada’s Wonderland, Blue Jays games, Wild Waterworks, Hamilton Bulldogs games and summer picnics.

Wood working Group
This group provides clients with a hands-on approach
to woodworking.
Clients are supervised by Lifeskills Coaches.
Each client is engaged in a woodworking project of their
choice and supervised by a carpenter.
